A global team with unrivalled expertise in the field of intelligence, security, military, and law enforcement (having worked in national and international settings), with substantial expertise in business, technology and AI, border security, counter smuggling, counterterrorism, counter corruption and transnational organised crime. The SENTRAVIZ team has a shared mission and common purpose to make international smuggling prohibitively high-risk. Not all of our colleagues are able to share their identities publicly.

Bill Wood - Senior Advisor
An Intelligence and Security professional with over a decade of recent experience in the international diplomatic arena. Prior to this, he served for 17 years with the UK Intelligence Corps, including multiple tours within the special operations arena. Woody ended his military career as Chief Instructor Advanced Military HUMINT. Woody then joined the SOCA, working in covert projects team, also holding liaison roles in Afghanistan, Albania, Turkiye and the Western Balkans. He then joined the UN, establishing the UNODC office in Skopje North Macedonia as head of mission and Serious Organised Crime Advisor for Southeast Europe. This role involved high level cooperation across the Balkans advising Senior Ministers and Departmental Leads. During this posting he established a multi agency Border Intelligence Unit at Skopje Airport, setting the bar for the rest of the region. Bill holds a Masters in International Security and Risk Management, as well as qualification in Intelligence Management.

Simon Clegg CBE - Senior Business Advisor
Simon moved to Dubai in 2016 as COO of the USD 7Bn Expo 2020 after spending most of his career at the highest levels of international sport including leading Team GB at 12 Olympic and Olympic Winter Games and CEO, and subsequently Chairman, at Ipswich Town FC. He now runs a portfolio of different business interests across the sports, major events, tourism and commercial business sectors

Jim McColm - Senior Advisor
Jim McColm is a customs and border security professional with over 35 years of experience spanning frontline enforcement, intelligence, and senior international leadership. Until very recently, he was Acting Deputy Director for Compliance & Enforcement at the World Customs Organization (WCO), where he oversees a wide portfolio of global enforcement programmes. Gleaned from over two decades working overseas, Jim has developed specialist expertise in small arms and light weapons (SALW), strategic trade controls, counterterrorism, and radiological and nuclear detection. Before joining the WCO, Jim held senior operational and intelligence roles with UK Customs and Border Force at Heathrow Airport and at national headquarters, leading complex anti-smuggling operations and developing specialist teams in counter-proliferation and weapons trafficking
Jim is also an accredited expert trainer and curriculum developer. He has designed and delivered capacity-building programmes for customs administrations, the UN, and other international organisations worldwide.

Claire Beastle - Senior Advisor
Claire has worked with and for wildlife for most of her career. Over the past twenty years or so, her main area of focus has been on wildlife trade and trafficking. She has designed, developed and delivered training for both enforcement officers and the private sector in numerous countries, largely in Southeast Asia and Africa on the Convention of Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Fauna (CITES), species identification and wildlife trafficking. She has produced industry-specific training materials on wildlife trafficking for both the aviation and maritime sector which can be delivered in person, online or as self-study e resources.

Lachie Forbes - Senior Advisor
Lachie recently left the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office after thirty years working mostly overseas. His postings included: Nairobi, Baku, Kyiv, Harare and Bogota. In these roles he worked closely with SOCA, UKSF, the Met Police and the UK agencies. He has a deep understanding of HMG’s security and intelligence infrastructure and policy making process and many years experience leading multi agency teams.
He has worked with local security and military partners across a wide swathe of the world, developing training and mentoring programmes and a strong network of contacts.
Lachie has a deep personal interest in counter illegal wildlife trafficking and conservation, fields in which he continues to support a range of projects.

Technology Branch
Our technology branch is led by a world class expert with a PhD in computing. With a mixed academic and practitioner background, our chief technologist has worked on a number of highly innovative healthcare, defence, and finance projects. He is experienced in translating complex technical challenges into scalable, real-world systems.

Stuart Barker - Senior Advisor
Stuart graduated from the University of Oxford and attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst where he was commissioned as an Infantry Officer. During a thirty-year career he worked within the military and intelligence sectors delivering operational outcomes in senior leadership roles. As a soldier, Stuart has commanded on operations across the world. Operational service in Afghanistan developed his leadership and experience in delivering outcomes in high-intensity environments. As a trained mentor, he frequently worked overseas where he led teams that mentored and deployed alongside allied partners on operations. Within the intelligence community Stuart worked primarily within the covert operations arena where he has planned and commanded high-risk covert missions across the globe. For several years Stuart led the UK mission at Europol as an accredited diplomat negotiating and delivering law enforcement outcomes at a strategic level. Having retired from public service Stuart now works as a director of a logistics company where he is responsible for all operational activities. He is also the founder and Director of Dark Blue Consultancy Limited which specialises in providing leadership training to senior managers working in the intelligence and security sectors.

Simon Jones - Senior Advisor
Alongside supporting SENTRAVIZ, Simon is also Managing Director of Triton International Ltd, a London-based risk and security management consultancy supporting government departments, international agencies, the maritime sector, extractives industries, and the Lloyd’s insurance market. With more than 25 years as a leading industry specialist, Simon is an expert in strategic risk analysis, operational planning, secure logistics, supply chain integrity, and the protection of critical infrastructure in high-risk and hostile environments. He has delivered subject matter expertise on crisis management, counterterrorism, anti-piracy, kidnap and ransom, and complex maritime security operations across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and beyond. A former Royal Marine Commando, Simon combines frontline operational experience with strategic leadership and international policy engagement. He has advised governments, UN bodies, and international regulatory organisations, and played a key role in the development and implementation of global maritime security standards, including ISPS and ISO 28007 frameworks. Widely regarded as a credible and commercially experienced security executive, he is also a frequent speaker and media commentator, recognised for his practical insight into counter-piracy, counterinsurgency, and security sector reform in some of the world’s most complex operating environments.

Professor Ruben Arcos - Senior Advisor
Rubén Arcos is an Associate Professor at University Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid and Director of its Office of International Programs. He is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Vaasa and teaches on Spain’s PhD programme in international security at the Institute General Gutiérrez Mellado.
His expertise covers intelligence studies, hybrid threats, strategic communication, disinformation, cybersecurity and security governance. He is currently Chair of the Intelligence Studies Section of the International Studies Association, and has contributed to major EU and NATO-related projects, including EU-HYBNET, Erasmus+ security initiatives and NATO/STO research on anticipatory intelligence and uncertainty in decision-making. He supervises doctoral theses in Spain’s PhD programme in international security at the Institute General Gutiérrez Mellado.
He has over 20 years’ teaching and training experience, has worked on European Commission security-sector projects in Georgia and The Gambia, contributed to Jane’s Intelligence Review, and co-edited The Art of Intelligence: Simulations, Exercises, and Games.

Richard Moir - Senior Advisor
Richard Moir is an international relations, market access and business development specialist with extensive experience advising governments, corporates and family offices on strategic engagement, risk, reputation, security and investigations. An eclectic “can-do” problem solver, he brings multidisciplinary and multijurisdictional networks spanning private client services, banking, insurance, residency and citizenship by investment.
He is the Founder of The Defence and Security Network, Vice President and Board Member of the London Chamber of Commerce, and a Trustee of The Commercial Education Trust. He has also worked closely in a strategic advisory role with Crime Stoppers. For SENTRAVIZ, Richard provides strategic insight, senior stakeholder engagement and international partnership support across the security, enforcement and public-private cooperation landscape.

Lennart Engvall - Senior Advisor
Lennart Engvall is a senior security and technology executive with extensive experience across the private sector, defence, and international security environments. He is the former CEO of a successful IT security company. He has held operational and leadership roles with the Swedish Armed Forces, including service in special forces, as well as a senior NATO operations officer. Lennart now works as a cyber security consultant, CEO of an investment company, and as a business advisor, supporting organisations on security, resilience, and strategic growth. He also serves as a specialist reserve officer in the Swedish armed forces.
